The Cummins 500DFEK is a complete 500kW diesel generator system engineered for reliable standby and prime power in industrial applications. This fully integrated power generation solution delivers consistent performance and versatility where dependable electricity is critical.

Manufactured in ISO 9001/9002 certified facilities, this generator meets rigorous quality standards. It's been validated through Cummins' Prototype Test Support (PTS) program and complies with NFPA 110 Level 1 system requirements. The unit is tested and certified to current EPA emissions standards, UL safety standards, and IBC seismic requirements.

Heavy-Duty Cummins Engine

At the heart of this system is a rugged 14.9-liter inline 6-cylinder industrial diesel engine. This 4-cycle powerplant delivers dependable performance with low emissions and responds quickly to changing load demands.

PowerCommand 2.3 Control System

The integrated PowerCommand 2.3 provides comprehensive generator management in one system. It handles voltage regulation, engine protection, generator protection, and operator interface with isochronous governing for precise frequency control. Features include automatic remote start/stop capability, accurate frequency and voltage regulation, alarm and status displays, output metering, automatic shutdown on fault detection, and full NFPA 110 compliance.

Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG)

The PMG excitation system provides superior motor starting capability and enhanced short-circuit fault clearing performance.

Weather-Protective Steel Enclosure

The durable steel enclosure shields the generator from the elements, enabling outdoor installation while protecting critical components.

Integrated 24-Hour Subbase Fuel Tank

The built-in 850-gallon subbase fuel tank provides approximately 24-25 hours of runtime at full load, minimizing refueling frequency during extended outages.
